You are invited to an unofficial meeting representative of some (not all) of the organisations working for children and their books in the Western Cape. As a person independent of all these organisations, I have been asked to Chair this meeting which is hoped will inaugurate an informal friendship of book organisations.
The Symposium will be hosted on this occasion by the newest and most junior of these organisations, the Children’s Book Network. An opportunity will be offered to each representative to state briefly the activities of their organisation.
After that, there will be an opportunity to discuss possible joint publicity, and the continuance of such informal meetings.
Our special guest, Niki Daly, will also be asked to address the meeting.
I would be grateful if you would confirm by email or in writing the attendance of yourself (or a representative of your organisation) at this meeting, kindly facilitated by the Franschhoek Literary Festival.
