On Saturday the 8th June, the CBN children were once again reunited. Jude Victor came to visit the children which was a great surprise. The workshop was attended by 28 Children from Stanford and Die Kop. The workshop started off with an ice breaker followed by some hot chocolate and sandwiches.
We reassembled at story time. Before we started the reading of the themed book, some of the children came forward and shared the highlights of their week. The book we focused on was The Sock Rat written by Janina Pechova. It was interesting to me that the moral they got out of the book was that the actions you do could potentially endanger you if not thought about properly. They also learnt that stealing is bad even if the item you steal is small for it may not be small to the person you steal from.
It was a highly successful workshop!
