Events for October 2014
CBN is launching a new project as part of Cederberg Stories that will run from now until the end of 2015.
It will build on previous workshops and will include a wider focus on the region including the Oliphants River down to the sea and the new dam that will raise the water level of the Clanwilliam Dam. More to come soon on this exciting work.
We have already begun with Saturday Stories children and will continue the story: My Clanwilliam, which we will be taking further in a spring holiday workshop.
Holiday Workshop:
6th and 7th of October at Clanwilliam Living Landscape Project. This will be mornings only and will focus on group writing. Photojournalism using the iPads sponsored by Rotary Skelleftea in Sweden and painting. There will also be recorded interviews with local people.
Visit to Elizabethfontein Primary School
Another trip over the Pakhuis Pass is planned to do a workshop and book talk with Grade 4.
Library visits. Last week CBN was invited to talk to all the librarians in the Vredendal District and we will be building on connections made there so that we can extend our reach in 2015. This will include visits to libraries in Wupperthal, Lutzville, Algeria and Vredendal.
