With heavy hearts, we decided at a meeting this morning to postpone the planned workshops for the next quarter, or until the emergency has diminished. There really is no choice.
This comes at an otherwise very positive time for Children’s Book Network. We have a dream team on the management and creative side and great support from a fine board. We have our accounts up to date and our Annual Report for 2019 up on the website (under OUR RECORDS). We also have a full programme of events ready to go.
These have only been postponed. We will use this enforced down time to develop new materials for the toolboxes, and forge ahead with an innovative programme to provide reading guidance for parents and others who now need to keep children occupied at home. We will overcome!
