Two prototype toolboxes have already been handed over – to Red Hill informal settlement above Simon’s Town and to Sevile School in Khayelitsha. A third box will be donated by Rotary Newlands at a small workshop for teacher-librarians at Red Cross Children’s Hospital.
This workshop is designed to open communications about what works – and potentially doesn’t work – in the boxes as they are now. There will also be feedback from the two teachers already working with the boxes.
This project is big – perhaps make that BIG – and will be an on-going work in progress for some time to come. Anyone interested in learning more should look at:
