Hip, Hip Hurrah!

CBN is back in action, and the beginning of official spring, and the end of our short break has been kicked-off by the most marvellous generosity from Friends of Children’s Book Network in England.

Ten business people in Worthing on the south coast of England were drawn into a plan hatched by Roger McCartney (who has previously donated to CBN) and all immediately responded positively.

The result? A donation of just over R20 000 in CBN’s bank account, and a positive beginning to new plans and projects.

Their names will either be listed below or, quite likely, not – they are a modest bunch who seem to prefer to remain anonymous thus far. For us it is a wonderful affirmation of the work we do, as well as a practical means of carrying on doing it. We cannot thank them enough. It makes our hearts very happy – and it will make children happy too.

Thank you.
