In Saturday stories, we worked with books and stories about grandparents and discussed (in the winter sun) how important they are in our lives. The children then wrote and painted around the theme.

My grandfather is the most kind and grateful man I have ever met. He is like my dad and I like him, but sometimes he gets grumpy and even angry!
At night, when I go to bed, he tells me some of his stories. The most important thing I like about him is his funny stories. He always tells a lesson at the end of the story.
My grandfather is a writer and he also makes cakes. I really love him. He is married to my grandmother. I hope when I grow up I will follow in his footsteps and be grateful that I have such a good grandfather – the best in the whole world!
