On Tuesday 10th of December, in Simon’s Town Library hall, there will be a gathering of storytellers, musicians and children to celebrate the end of one year – and anticipate the beginning of a new one!
Programme:
Children aged 10,11 and 12 have been invited from Red Hill informal settlement. Transport by bus has been arranged and the first 60 children to register (with signed permission from their parents) will get on the bus at stops near their homes from 1.45.
At 2.30 we will begin the programme, which includes:
- Storyteller Sindiwe Magona
- Storyteller Marlene Winberg
- Musician and role model Anele Mhlahlo
- Singers and dancers from Chris Hani High School in Khayelitcha
- Drummers Basse and Kabbo from Senegal
- The Book Singers from University of Cape Town
The programme will finish by 4.15 to allow time for CBN cake and juice and the bus will collect the children at 4.30 to take them back to Red Hill.
