It takes time to build a network of sources for book donation, but Cambridge University Press has done us proud on each occasion when we have approached them. Books were donated to Goxhill Primary (see reviews by children there at https://www.childrensbook.co.za/children/childrens-reviews).
The pictures here are of children receiving heavily discounted books bought from CUP as part of a library outreach run by Melissa Heckler, an American teacher librarian who devotes part of her summer holiday each year to work in the Kalahari.
The delight on the faces of the children is pretty obvious. Children need books!
